I was very flattered and excited after being contacted by this American client.
He told me he had been following my company by watching the Youtube videos I post and wanted me to design and build an apartment complex in Samana.
We spoke and emailed each other several times and after the COVID restrictions enabled travel we finally met with his partner to discuss his requirements and goals!
The property was in the heart of Santa Bárbara de Samaná which is the capital of the province of Samana, we all call it Samana!
The clients family had owned the land for many years, building one house and starting their own apartment block.
They have asked us to remove the existing part built block and design and build new apartments with underground parking.
We are currently in the design stage and will add items to this project as we finish them.

I visited the property in Samana with my team to see the existing buildings, the neighbourhood and property on the same street.
The views from the lot were amazing I could see right out across the bay of Samana to all the outlying Islands, so beautiful!
The local people were very welcoming and interested in the construction project.
The client was very clear about what he requires and a budget that he wants to spend.
He gave us the original plans that he had done some time ago, we instantly all agreed that these were of no use for the new project!
The design stages were costed and accepted the architects are working on both the plans and visuals.
Once the initial draft has been finished then we will look at the construction viability in regards to getting the most out of the lot and maintaining our clients budget.
Planning regulations need to be considered and meetings with the planning departments arranged.
